Plaid Motion

Below is an example of some plaid motion I made.

The black lines move down to the right;
The red lines move up to the right;
The combination moves to the right!

Essentially the brain ‘groups’ the black and red lines together and combines the motion as a direction somewhere between the two based on which is faster/slower etc. As these are moving at identical speeds the direction is rightward, directly between the two directions. Neat eh?
